Dr. Victoria Pastor (ORCID orcid.org/0000-0003-3750-4184), graduated in Chemistry and specialization in Agrochemistry at University of Alicante. She got the PhD in 2012 by the University Jaume I and got the postdoctoral experience in the Institute of Biology, at University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), in the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Currently is a researcher and assistant professor at University of Jaume I (Castelló, Spain), in the area of Plant Physiology (Department of Agronomical Sciences and Natural Environment) and the main research topic is focused in plant immunity against biotic stress. Specifically, mechanisms behind induced resistance against pests. She has participated in different national and international projects related to priming natural defenses against diseases. This research is integrated in the Metabolic Integration and Cell Signaling group (www.nitropriming.wordpress.com), which is in association with a group of research in the Estación Experimental del Zaidín (CSIC, Granada, Spain), focused in mycorrhiza-induced resistance. The technical expertise supporting this research is based on metabolomic analysis by both targeted and non-targeted chromatographical techniques. She has developed projects with private companies, contributing to expand and apply the knowledge obtained in the lab.
