Dr. Rachid MENTAG is a Plant biotechnologist and head of Plant-Pathogens interactions laboratory at Regional Center of Agricultural Research of Rabat, INRA, Morocco. He has co-authored recent articles on plant-pathogens interactions, and genomics studies. He has a good experience in participation and coordination of international projects. Thus, within the ARIMNET & PRIMA programs, he acted/acting as Institutional PI of 4 selected projects: MEDILEG, AVIAMED, INTOMED and DIVICIA. He also acted as PI of project funded by Rural Development Administration of Korea on molecular breeding using Genotyping by Sequencing analysis (GBS). At national level, he is Institutional PI of project «Use of microalgae as Biostimulants for plants», funded by Ministry of Higher Education of Morocco; His interest focused mainly on molecular plant interactions with biotic and abiotic stresses and he is also a team leader of NGS platform of INRA, Morocco. Dr Mentag holds 2 patents related to in vitro culture and plant pathogens control.
