The Plant and Environmental Biotechnology lab, is based in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Thessaly and focuses on the interactions between plants – microorganisms and the environment and the biotechnological applications of plants and microorganisms in (a) sustainable production processes, (b) production of bioactive molecules and (c) environmental protection. The group has been actively researching fungal endophytes with beneficial capabilities against biotic and abiotic stresses of model and crop plants for over a decade.
